CulturaLink, LLC announced today that it has been awarded HPG Contract #6255 with HealthTrust Purchasing Group. Under the agreement, HealthTrust will offer members exclusive pricing on CulturaLink’s comprehensive translation and interpretation services in more than 200 languages.
This contract makes CulturaLink’s services such as face to face, phone, and video chat interpretation available to 1,350 acute care facilities and more than 15,000 additional facilities such as physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, and long-term care facilities across the country.
“We are excited to be selected by HealthTrust to provide our services focused on diversity and inclusion to its members across the country,” said CulturaLink President Yolanda Robles. “This partnership will make our extensive interpreter and translation services available to healthcare providers in a way that will allow them to deliver ground-breaking care to a growingly diverse patient population.”
As the nation makes a shift toward a minority-majority balance, the need to identify and eliminate disparities in care is becoming critical. National Public Radio reported earlier this year that by 2020, more than half the nation’s children will be part of a minority race or ethnic group.
“In addition to our interpretation and translation services, this contract will allow healthcare organizations to partner with CulturaLink to develop unique consulting and training programs,” said Robles. “Going beyond specific, real-time patient needs, these programs can help transform our partners into a diverse and responsible place for both patients and employees.”
