More Than Just a Language Company
Since we are so much more than just a language company, CulturaLink is the only organization on contract to provide training and consulting on cultural competence, diversity, and inclusion. This contract will allow healthcare organizations to partner with CulturaLink to assess any areas they might be unable to deliver equitable care and develop strategies to address those areas. Going beyond specific, real-time patient needs, these programs can help transform organizations into a diverse and equitable environment for both patients and employees.
The Growing Need for Diversity
As the nation makes a shift toward a minority-majority balance, the need to identify and eliminate disparities in care is becoming critical. National Public Radio reported earlier this year that by 2020, more than half the nation’s children will be part of a minority race or ethnic group. Healthcare organizations are facing the need for real-time translation and interpretation services to continue to deliver the type of critical care that the patient population expects. Additionally, having these services will help reduce medical errors and avoidable hospital stays that create extra cost and problems for the organization.
